Job description

Hiring an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance, system support, and troubleshooting services across a distributed team. The role includes handling support tickets, maintaining system access, setting up user accounts, and ensuring consistent uptime across hardware, software, and network platforms. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and a deep understanding of technical support tools and service delivery. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, well-organized, and experienced with remote IT operations.

Responsibility

  • Provide technical support to end-users via chat, email, and video calls. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues on Windows and Mac systems. Manage user accounts, device setups, permissions, and access controls. Coordinate software installations, updates, and patch management. Support internal tools, cloud platforms, and VPN configurations. Maintain and track inventory of devices and peripherals remotely. Document recurring issues and solutions in knowledge base systems. Ensure IT security compliance, device encryption, and MFA enforcement. Escalate complex problems to higher-level support or external vendors as necessary. Monitor system uptime and coordinate responses during outages or disruptions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT support or helpdesk roles. Proficiency in supporting Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and common SaaS platforms. Familiarity with remote support tools like TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or LogMeIn. Experience with Active Directory, endpoint management, and ITSM systems. Solid understanding of cybersecurity basics (antivirus, firewalls, MFA, etc.). Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator are preferred.

  • Annual Salary: $55,000 – $70,000 USD Hourly Equivalent: $26.44 – $33.65 USD (based on a 40-hour week)
